A fruit pizza recipe for a noteworthy super bowl dessert!

Despite the fact that our beloved Green Bay Packers didn’t make it to the super bowl this year, doesn’t mean I won’t still be celebrating a season well-played with super bowl treats. This recipe was quick, simple and guaranteed to be a touchdown for your team… pun intended.

Here’s what you need:

Ingredients~
3/4 Cup Butter- softened
1/2 Cup Confectioner Sugar
1 1/2 Cups All- Purpose White Flour
1 10-12 Ounce Package Vanilla Milk Chips
1/4 Cup Whipping Cream
1 8 Ounce Package Cream Cheese- softened
Fruit Array- I used Strawberries, Blueberries, Kiwis & Bananas
Platter- I used the Avignon Platter from  the chip n’ dip set in Sage (13″dia).

Avignon Chip n' Dip Platter w/Dessert Bowls

Let’s get to it!
Preheat oven to 350˚ & grease platter with cooking spray to prevent sticky crumbs.

blend until smooth

Crust~
Beat butter and confectioners sugar until light and fluffy; once smooth, blend in flour.

press crust into plate

Press crust mixture onto bottom and sides of platter. Bake 20-25 minutes, or until lightly browned; cool completely.

smooth vanilla filling onto crust

Prepare Vanilla Filling~
In a microwave safe bowl, microwave vanilla chips and whipping cream at HIGH 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Beat in cream cheese. Spread on cooled crust; chill.

arrange fruit slices in any pattern

There are a couple of ways to prepare the fruit topping. First, slice all of your desired fruit into thin, 1/4″, slices. Arrange this fruit in any pattern your heart desires on top of the vanilla filling. I enjoy it just like this, but if you prefer sweeter; combine a 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 cup pineapple juice, and 1 tsp. lemon juice in bowl, then drizzle over
arranged fruit topping.

adds a gorgeous pop of color to any super bowl food spread

Either way you pick it, this dessert will look and taste like you spent hours on it! Enjoy the game!
